The flashiing D resets itself when you shut the vehicle off. A code will have been stored though. Our first flashing D indicator tripped once and then it didn't trip again until 3 months later where it would trip once a day. It was the 3rg gear switch. Like. road2cycle. On the first gen Pilot the flashing D is normally resolved with replacing the third and/or fourth gear pressure switch. The code reader tells you which one (s) failed. If you DIY personally I would just replace both since it takes longer to get the front end jacked up compared to the time it takes to replace the switches..
